The Chicago Mitzvah Campaign offers many services, including activities, speakers, and provide meals, all for free, as well as transportation to medical appointments.
The Council For Jewish Elderly provides events, information, groups, and Kosher meals on wheels.

The Village of Skokie Human Services Division provides numerous programs to enhance the quality of life for Skokie seniors, focusing on independence, dignity, and access to essential services. Key offerings include: Benefit Access Program Assistance: Helps seniors (65+) and disabled residents apply for benefits like the Secretary of State License Plate Discount, Seniors Ride Free Transit Benefit (CTA, Pace, Metra), and Persons with Disabilities Ride Free Transit Benefit. The Skokie Public library provides specialized services for seniors, particularly those with mobility or accessibility challenges:

Home Delivery Service: Free delivery of books, audiobooks, DVDs, and foreign language materials every four weeks for residents unable to visit due to permanent or temporary disabilities. Participants receive a library card with full access to resources. Register at 847-324-3116.

Monthly Book Discussion Group: Held on the third Wednesday of each month (1:30–2:30 p.m.), open to all but designed for those with visual impairments. Features fiction and nonfiction in various formats.

Talking Book and Braille Service: Provides audio and braille library materials through the Illinois State Library. Contact 847-324-3185 for registration.

House of Welcome Adult Day Services : Specialized programs for those with Alzheimer’s or other dementias, including a day program, family support groups, caregiver resources, and virtual activities.
The Skokie Park District organizes active adult programs for those 60+ at the Oakton Community Center Lounge, including:

Drop-In Programs: Social activities like card clubs and Monday movies.

The Village of Skokie also has a 9-holf Golf course, and the Weber Leisure Center which has many workout classes, facilities (for a fee), and a free walking track.

There are many golf courses within 3 miles, but most of them are country clubs, including the North Shore County Club in Glenview which hosted the Western Amateur tournament in 2023.
